Isabella Chi Cortzen becomes the third DAWN PhD graduate, successfully defending her thesis "The view into the interstellar medium across cosmic time". This also marks the first time a PhD defense has been conducted remotely here at DAWN.
Isabella Chi Cortzen becomes the third DAWN PhD graduate, successfully defending her thesis "The view into the interstellar medium across cosmic time". This also marks the first time a PhD defense has been conducted remotely here at DAWN.
As spectators could more readily pop in and out there were many people from the astronomy community around the world, from Australia to France, who followed the defense.
Despite the unfamiliar conditions, Dr. Cortzen did a good job and was awarded her doctorate degree.
Afterwards, friends and family came by Vibenshuset in teams to congratulate the new Doctor. Health risks were kept at a minimum.
