In recent years there have been an increasing amount of studies on the overdensities of galaxies in the distant Universe, even beyond a redshift of z>4. However, how these protoclusters evolve from a structure stretching several hundreds of Mpc to a real galaxy cluster and how these distant clusters of galaxies differ from local ones are still open questions. This is because there are only a handful of observational constraints of clusters at intermediate, z~2, redshifts.
