Cake Talk by Aayush Saxena

Understanding the timeline and the main drivers of cosmic reionization is an exciting challenge in observational cosmology. The key parameters needed to understand reionization are the number density of ionizing photon emitting sources, the photon production efficiencies of galaxies in the early Universe and the escape fraction of these photons that eventually make it to the IGM, driving reionization. In this talk I will present some of the latest results from JWST, particularly from the JADES NIRSpec GTO survey, demonstrating how JWST observations within the first 2 years have already started bringing us towards solving the mystery of cosmic reionization.
