DAWN Summit 2019
We are pleased to announce the program for Cosmic Dawn Summit Meeting in Copenhagen, July 8th - 12th 2019. The meeting will take place at DAWN-NBI at Vibenshuset, Lyngbyvej 2, 2100 Copenhagen and at DAWN-DTU on Elektrovej 328, 2800 Lyngby. The Cosmic Dawn Center is a center of excellence supported by the Danish National Research Foundation, the Villum Fonden, the European Research Council, the Independent Research Fund Denmark and the Carlsberg Foundation. The aim of the summit is to present scientific topics and engage in scientific discussions in an informal and relaxed environment.
The daily meeting structure will include 1 Science Session and 1 Working /Planning Session regarding lessons learned in 2018 and what have actions have been taken as a result of our learnings. Additionally, we will highlight the collaborating projects of both center staff and associates, over a five day period, with ample time for common discussions after each talk and during coffee breaks, lunches, and dinners.
After each day, a summary of the main points of discussion will be created for comments and further elaboration. The summaries will be posted in the meeting rooms at Vibenshuset and DTU.
All participants, especially those who will not be able to make it to the meeting, are encouraged to express opinions using the comment section at these links.
These summaries are intended as dynamical and evolving documents to be enriched by the contribution of each member during the workshop.
Day 1 will be dedicated to welcoming all of you here in Copenhagen, summing up prior experiences from workshops and summits, attending the first talks and getting all set for the rest of DAWN Summit 2019.
On Day 2 we will hold our meeting at DTU DAWN
On Day 3 we will all take a trip to the historic island of Hven, where Tycho Brahe had his famous observatory, Uranienborg.
On Day 4 we will meet at the Carlsberg Residence in Vesterbro
On Day 5 we are back at Vibenshuset
